Who is John O’Malley: born April 6, 1935 to Dr Stanley and Geraldine O’Malley.
Brought a small farm in Southwest Milwaukee.
We raised chicken, sheep, and horses.
Went to Greendale grade school a village built and owned by United States of American government.
Went to school in the City of Milwaukee --
Participated in sports, four-team student counsel, graduated in 3.5 years and was selected one of two best golfers in the metro Milwaukee area.
Went 1.5 years to Marquetta University with studies for Pre-Dental Admission transferred to the University of Mexico City preparing trade transferred to Mexico City College with Foreign Trade Emphasis.
Transferred to the University of Wisconsin taking classes for business training and such as accounting classes in building- construction and architectural design along with Appraising.
In 1959 got married to the girl I was dating for seven years. Started O’Malley Realty when he was 24 years old in (1959) and within 3.5 years was selling not less than 40 houses a month 513 to 550 homes yearly. Judge to be the second largest broker in the metro Milwaukee area with over sixty salespeople. Early 1980’s started building and lease back convenient stores with gas—built and leased back last A & P Store in the state of Wisconsin in the middle to late 1960’s started building and leasing back four Howard Johnson Ground Road Restaurants along with a Denny’s Build and leased back.
Also in the late sixties, early seventies got involved in in the building of computer back up facilities, the company was called Data Shield and became the back up conquered companies in the Midwest. During the seventies and eighties construction was directed toward subdividing land in to residential lot building and sales of lots over six hundred lots (600) in the middle to late eighties he build the first full size shopping center in the city of Franklin having supermarket, Walgreens, Ace Hardware with lot sales to McDonald, Bank One, and others in this period he was buying over 250 acres of land for future development, the Franklin Truck Stop, Texaco station, and downtown Milwaukee properties.
In 1989 he brought a house in Whispering Pines to live there in the spring and fall keeping Milwaukee area his place of residence. In 1990 he purchased first larger parcel in Moore County located near the intersection of Hwy 20 and Airport Rd presently Ace Hardware and Tyler Ridge Apartments located after the original purchase he added to its size by purchasing additional adjacent land.
In the middle of 1990 to the 2000 year purchase the Southwest Corner of McCaskill Road and Magnolia Road to sell it a few years later. He also brought 18.5 acres in Lawn and Tennis Condo Area only to sell it a few years later. In the late 1990’s to 2020 he was buying factories and converting them to multiple tenant buildings Gaines building in Southern Pines, Pinebluff factory in Pinebluff, CarFab factory in Carthage, and the Gulistan Plant on HWY 5 in Aberdeen other buildings purchased include the Duke Building on Hwy 5 and the old Fidelity Bank in Carthage.
In 1996 he moved from the house in Whispering Pines to his present house on Number Seven Golf Course. He was also buying homes in Pompano Beach Florida and Naples Florida. He presently has offices in Wisconsin and North Carolina, and he is preparing to build on the Bluff Golf Course a development that consist of having a driving range, a huge eighteen hole putting green along with a par three golf course there will be a large RV Park along with lot and home sales. John O’Malley just sold and closed on one of his properties in Wisconsin for $7,500,000 that will be use for building one of the best RV-Golf Developments in the County and hope that the Town of Pinebluff will work with him to make this a coordinated effort already properly zoned all he needs is Pinebluff help John O’Malley has the land, the experience and the money to make this work.
